What is the difference between Screen Printing & DTF Printing?

Screen Print

Classic. Durable. Great for Larger Orders.

Screen printing is an excellent choice for larger quantities of apparel, particularly when the same design will be printed across the entire order.

It works especially well for bold logos, team designs, school apparel, business shirts, event shirts, and other designs with a limited number of colors.

Because screen-print pricing becomes more economical as quantities increase, it can be a great option for bulk apparel orders.

Screen Print may be a great fit if:

  • You're ordering a larger quantity.

  • The same design will be used throughout the order.

  • Your artwork uses a limited number of colors.

  • You need shirts for a school, team, organization, business, fundraiser, or large event.

  • You're looking for an economical option for a bulk order.

When should I inquire about Screen Print?

Choose Screen Print on your quote request when you're planning a larger order with the same design on multiple garments.

screen-print orders generally begin at 25 pieces. For orders below that quantity, we can determine whether DTF makes more sense for the project.

DTF Printing

Detailed. Colorful. Flexible.

DTF is a great choice for designs with multiple colors, fine details, gradients, or full-color artwork. It allows us to reproduce detailed designs without limiting your artwork to just a few colors.

DTF also works especially well for smaller custom orders, making it a flexible option for events, businesses, teams, celebrations, and one-of-a-kind projects.

DTF may be a great fit if:

  • You need a smaller quantity of apparel.

  • Your design contains several colors.

  • You have a detailed logo or artwork.

  • Your design includes gradients or full-color elements.

  • You need names, numbers, or other individualized designs.

  • You want the flexibility to print a detailed design without simplifying the artwork.

When should I inquire about DTF?

Choose DTF on your quote request if you're ordering a smaller quantity, have a colorful or detailed design, need personalization, or simply aren't sure which method would work best.
